Camp Brainerd

Brainerd means different things to different people. If you would like to offer your testament, please contact us. We would love to share your story.

We can’t thank you enough for the amazing experience we had at your camp in October. Our youth are still talking about what a great time they had and how they can’t wait to go back! You truly facilitated an environment in which the Lord met them and changed their lives. We are grateful for your hospitality, great food, and the Spirit of God on your property. Looking forward to next year!

Camp Brainerd has been not only a meaningful experience for those who attended, or worked there or served as a guiding force – it is a legacy to which we all belong and a heritage which we ought to preserve, an institution as valuable as a great and noted college or university.

We all go back for the same reasons, summer after summer. Half of the reason we keep going is simply because the thought of not seeing each other for another year is heartbreaking. These people become your friends. Your support group. Your light in the dark. They become people you know and trust. People that you love. Most importantly, they become your family If you asked any faithful camper from Brainerd, they would tell you that these people have become their best friends, people that they know will be there no matter what.

The other half of the reason why we keep going back is to find God I can’t tell you enough how hard it is to be a teenager these days, it’s something I’m sure none of us can do alone. Time and time again, people like you and I, we go back to find faith. Hope. A sense of living We go back because after a long hard year of school, we need that relief. We need to hear that everything will always end up being okay. This is done, most easily by going back. Going back and finding God in your heart once more.

I can’t stand here and say that I am a true Christian, or that I read my Bible at night. I can’t even say that I am an avid church-goer. But regardless of all those things, I can still say that God is in my heart, and I know that I would have never found Him if it wasn’t for Camp Brainerd.
