For over 50 years, Brainerd Presbyterian Center has been providing camping ministry to the Lehigh Presbytery. Current challenges, such as declining enrollments and limited publicity, are affecting our financial standing. Once again there is discussion regarding the future of Brainerd Presyterian Center.
This proposal is respectfully submitted to present a plan that we believe has the ability to position the Brainerd Presbyterian Center in a much-needed role in facilitating and enhancing the ministry and mission of our Presbytery’s local churches and reaching a larger number of children, youth and adults to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in life-changing ways.
This plan outlines a method to make the camp financially self-sufficient within three years. In this plan, a revised and re-energized Camp & Conference Care Team, designed to continue to report to the Presbytery, will oversee and implement the various changes required to meet this ambitious, but attainable plan.
